Box 243 Jubilee Street MACLEAN  NSW  2463 Phone: (02) 6645 3468 Fax: (02) 6645 4067 nungera@bri.net.au     A formation meeting took place on the 12th of may 1975 under the old gum tree at Hillcrest, to discuss the problems that the local Aboriginal community faced, such as housing, unemployment, etc. It was decided to form a co-operative so that we as Aboriginals could manage our own affairs.  Nungera Co-op Society Ltd. was incorporated as a community advancement society under the NSW Co-op Act on the 27th of May 1975.
